NONWOVENS BONDED
FABRICS can be made from a variety of completely
different fibres, by different process, using bonding
agents. The uses to which the finished product can be
put are relatively clearly defined. It is therefore possible
to clarrify them according to raw materials, method of
production and bonding agents, use to which they will
be put and their properties.
Adhesive bonding is
a very impotant method as is mechanical bonding of binding
the fibre web together. By far the greatest proportion
of nonwoven bonded fabrics are bonded by adhesion either
copletely in the case of thin fabrics or in addition to
mechanical prebonding.
